Safety and Compliance

F.H. Furr implements and maintains a complete employee safety program. This program includes weekly classes devoted to teaching our technicians the art of customer service and keeping them abreast of new technology.

We insist that all of our HVAC technicians and installers are CFC certified. This certification ensures that they know how to handle refrigerant to prevent chlorine from going into the atmosphere.

In addition, we have all oil, capacitors and units burned at a recommended site, rather than sending them to a landfill per EPA requirements. While this process is expensive, it is much safer for the environment. Not all companies incur this additional cost. For the same reason, we also remove the mercury from thermostats rather than dumping them in landfills.

We keep a current and well-maintained fleet of trucks for the safety of our employees and our customers who are on our busy roads every day. We require our people with company trucks have training on proper road safety to be sure we are just as courteous on the roads as we are in your home.

We at F.H. Furr continually keep abreast of changes in safety regulation in our industry to assure that both our customers and employees are not exposed to hazardous materials or situations. We are always putting safety first.
