Since F.H. Furr services most water treatment systems, we are able to offer you a free analysis of your water regardless of whether you are on a public or private water system. Our water purification services also include the repair, replacement and new installation of:

Why purify your water?

• Acid neutralizers

  Low pH levels can deteriorate your copper piping and household fixtures. Do you want to replace your pipes in your walls? Acid neutralizers will raise the pH level of your water. An indication that you would need to do this is if you find a bluish-green stain on your fixtures, toilets, sinks or showers.

• Reverse osmosis drinking water filters

  Do you know what is in your water? Do you know what you are drinking? The reverse osmosis process totally purifies your drinking water, gives you better than bottled water quality and removes 98% of all contamination. Install a reverse osmosis system and you will know.

• Water softeners

  Did you know that one grain of hardness in your water will bring 15 pounds of calcium into your household plumbing fixtures—water heaters, dishwashers, washing machines and inside your copper piping—a year? You can't afford not to have a water softener if you have hard water.

• Ultra violet water sterilizers

  If you have chloroform bacteria in your water (which the State tests for and finds small amounts acceptable), ultra-violet water sterilizers will kill it.

• Iron filters

  Get rid of your unsightly brown and orange stains in your water closets, toilets and sinks. Iron filters will also help keep your clothes looking cleaner.

• Sediment filters

  Sediment filters are primarily used for well systems to remove silt, sand and suspended matter from the water. These are a must if you are on a well system.

Water Purification Definitions

• Hard water: A common quality of water that contains dissolved compounds.
• Softened water: Water that is optimum for bathing, shampooing, personal grooming, laundering and dishwashing. Since many of these uses demand hot water, fully softened water produces better results with minimal soap and detergent use as well as the conservation of energy required for water heating.
