Are Your Ducts All In A Row?

Most of the air in your home comes in through the duct system. These ducts get dirty over time with mildew, bacteria, and even sometimes visits from critters or even infestation. Scheduling an air duct cleaning can help be sure the air you breathe is in tiptop shape! While we can’t help out at the gym or in the kitchen – we CAN help with the air you breathe in your home!

Dance Around The Living Room – With Your Vacuum!

Allergies and asthma are so prevalent here in the Northern Virginia area. Dust in your home can trigger the symptoms of both of these! Vacuuming is a necessity if you suffer from either of these. Make it fun! Turn up the music and go to town around the house!

Are You Chemically Inclined When Cleaning?

Ditch the chemicals! There are natural alternatives to SO many of the everyday cleaners many people use in their homes on a regular basis! Here are a few suggestions for natural cleaners that can replace your current cleaners!

  • Windex: Use vinegar and water: 1/4 cup of vinegar in a 32-ounce bottle of distilled water.
  • C-L-R Cleaner: Use lemon juice to clean faucets by rubbing lemon juice on the taps. Wipe it with a damp cloth after letting it set overnight!
  • Toilet Cleaner: Add 2 teaspoons of tea tree oil to 2 cups of water. Spray along the inside rim of your toilet and let it set for 30 minutes. Scrub off for a sparkly bowl!
  • Stainless Steel Cleaner: Use a couple of drops of olive oil on a soft cloth and buff the surface.
  • Wood Furniture Cleaner: Mix 2 cups olive oil with the juice of 1 lemon. Using a soft cloth, clean the surface of your wood furniture with a couple of drops! Sometimes this is even useful for smoothing out scratches!
  • NOTE: While these are *suggestions* and should always be tested on inconspicuous areas of your home, they are great alternatives to many of the chemical-filled cleaners found on shelves.
