As the current heat wave kicks temperatures up into the 100s in the mid-Atlantic area, what are you doing to make sure you stay cool? With constant heat like this, it's extremely important to not only have an air conditioning system that works, but also one that is highly efficient. If you're tired of repairing the same old air conditioner, consider replacing it with one of our high efficiency air conditioners.
How do Air Conditioners Work?
Your air conditioner uses a chemical called refrigerant (FREON) to cool warm air as it passes through the system. The refrigerant transfers the warm energy and cools the air as and the warm energy is pushed outside with the warm air.
The refrigerant then cycles back through the system to repeat the process - leaving your home cooler and less humid.
Your cooling system is usually combined with your central heating system because they share the same ductwork for distributing conditioned air throughout your home.
Not sure if your air conditioner needs repair or replacement?
Call F.H. Furr today to schedule a free "Home Comfort Analysis." Our licensed technicians will give a thorough assessment of your home and current heating and cooling system. This is an essential step in choosing a new heating and air conditioning system.
A complete analysis of your existing heating and air conditioning system is the first step toward helping you choose a new system that is not only the right size for your home but also the most energy efficient. A system that is too large or too small will not properly heat and cool your home, leading to higher utility bills, more equipment repairs and ultimately equipment that fails prematurely.
